SALEM, ORE. â?? After a highly successful 2012 campaign in which the Bearcats finished with an overall record of 8-2 (4-2 in NWC), two returning members of the Willamette University football team have been named as USA College Football Division III Preseason All-Americans.
SALEM, ORE. â?? A total of seven Willamette University football players have been chosen for the seventh annual class of the Hampshire Honor Society, sponsored by the National Football Foundation. The Hampshire Honor Society recognizes college football players from all divisions who are seniors and have maintained at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average during their collegiate careers.

SALEM, ORE. â?? Kelly Bills has been hired by Willamette University as the offensive coordinator for the Bearcat football team, Head Coach Glen Fowles announced today. In addition to coordinating the teamâ??s overall offensive efforts, Bills will be Willametteâ??s quarterbacks coach.
SALEM, ORE -- The Willamette University Bearcats completed their 2012 schedule with an 8-2 overall record while breaking numerous school records and concluding the year as one of the most prolific offensive teams in NCAA Division III. WU finished the year with a 4-2 record in the Northwest Conference.
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University senior safety Cody Pastorino (Glenn, CA/Willows HS) has been named Second Team All-America by D3football.com.  Overall, a total of 100 NCAA Division III athletes were selected for All-America recognition, with 25 players each named to the First Team, Second Team, Third Team and Fourth Team.
SALEM, ORE. -- Three Willamette University football players have been named to the 2012 All-West Region Team, as selected by D3Football.com. Cody Pastorino (Sr., S, Glenn, CA/Willows HS) was selected to the First Team, Taylor Reeder (Sr., OT, Prunedale CA/Palma HS) was named to the Second Team, and Ben Lyons (Sr., DE, Anchorage, AK/South Anchorage HS) was chosen for the Third Team.
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University junior Kyle Derby (PK/P, Oakdale, CA/Oakdale HS) has been chosen First Team Capital One NCAA Division III Academic All-District VIII in football for the 2012 season. The Academic All-District team is determined in voting by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University placed 22 players on the 2012 All-Northwest Conference Football Team in voting by the NWC head coaches. Five Bearcats earned First Team All-NWC honors, while nine received Second Team recognition and eight were chosen for Honorable Mention.
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University Bearcats, 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the Northwest Conference, will host the University of Puget Sound, 0-8 overall and 0-5 in the NWC, at McCulloch Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 10 in the final game of the regular season. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. (PST).
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University defense forced three turnovers and the Bearcat offense amassed 572 yards in a 55-0 shutout victory over the University of Puget Sound at McCulloch Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 10. It was Willamette's first shutout since a 44-0 rout against the University of La Verne on Sept. 27, 2008.
SALEM, ORE. -- Terrell Malley (Jr., HB, Portland, OR/Roosevelt HS) of Willamette University has been chosen as the Northwest Conference Football Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for his efforts in the Bearcats' 35-31 win at Pacific University on Saturday, Nov. 3. With the victory, Willamette improved to 7-2 on the season, including 3-2 in the NWC.
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University senior inside linebacker Wes Wenzel (Portland, OR/Sunset HS) has been named NWC Football Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week for his contributions on Saturday, Nov. 3 as the Bearcats defeated Pacific University, 35-31.
FOREST GROVE, ORE. -- Willamette University, 6-2 overall and 2-2 in the Northwest Conference, and Pacific University, 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the NWC, will battle each other for the second time this season when they meet at Lincoln Park Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 3.
