Floyd named CSC Academic All-District
College Sports Communicators honors success on the court and in the classroom.
SALEM, Ore. – Willamette University senior Emma Floyd has been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Floyd, an Exercise and Health Science major, was a key contributor for the Bearcats throughout the 2025-26 campaign. To qualify for the honor, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA while meeting specific athletic participation requirements.
On the court, Floyd appeared in 27 games during the 2025-26 season, establishing herself as one of the team's premier perimeter threats. She totaled 138 points and 91 rebounds, with 81 of those coming on the defensive end. A specialist from beyond the arc, Floyd connected on 39 three-pointers, shooting a consistent 31 percent from long range.
Her season was highlighted by a breakout performance at UC Santa Cruz on Nov. 29, where she scored a season-high 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting from three-point territory. She also displayed her versatility on the glass, pulling down a season-high seven rebounds in three different contests: at Whitworth (Jan. 2), vs. Whitworth (Jan. 31), and at Lewis & Clark (Feb. 21).
Floyd's efficiency was on full display during a home tilt against Whitman on Jan. 30, where she shot 50 percent from both the field and three-point range while going a perfect 100 percent from the free-throw line. Defensively, she added 15 steals and five blocks on the year, matching a season-high with two steals in games against Pacific.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. As an Academic All-District® honoree, Floyd is now eligible for consideration on the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on April 15, 2026.
