XC competes at NWC Championships
Anna Bikle earns 2nd Team All-Conference
TACOMA, Wash. — The Willamette University women's cross country team competed at the Northwest Conference Championships, held at the PUL Meadows XC Course. The Bearcats were highlighted by a strong individual performance that secured all-conference recognition.
Anna Bikle of Willamette was the top finisher for the Bearcats in the women's 6-kilometer race, claiming a spot on the Second Team All-Conference by finishing 6th overall. Bikle completed the course with a time of 22:57.02. (First team is finishers 1-5, second team is 6-10, and third team is 11-15.)
Willamette also saw a second runner among the top 50 in the challenging field:
Elise Henderson finished in 39th place with a time of 25:26.44.
Rachel Hamasaki finished in 64th place with a time of 26:32.69.
Willamette University did not place in the overall team rankings, which were topped by George Fox University, followed by Whitworth and Pacific (Ore.).
