SALEM, Ore. — Willamette University swept Lewis & Clark College 25-20, 25-15, 25-19 in a decisive match on Saturday at Cone Field House. The Bearcats' commanding performance was highlighted by a .333 hitting percentage and 43 kills, overpowering the Pioneers' .159 percentage and 27 kills. The Bearcats recorded six service aces to the Pios' five, maintaining control throughout the match.
Lexie Scott led the Bearcats with 19 kills on 30 attempts, hitting at a .533 clip. Dream Takemoto contributed with a perfect 1.000 hitting percentage, adding five assists and nine digs. Leina Chu orchestrated the offense with 26 assists and chipped in six digs. Katey Cramer bolstered the attack with 14 kills and recorded a .423 hitting percentage.
Willamette holds a record of 5-9 overall and 3-4 in conference play. Lewis & Clark remains winless with a 0-14 overall record and 0-7 in the conference.
In their next game, the Bearcats will host George Fox University on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. in Salem, OR.
