Willamette Downs Lasell, Falls to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, at Pacific Coast Classic
CLAREMONT, CALIF. -- Willamette University rolled past Lasell College (Mass.), 3-0, and fell to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 3-0, on the second day of the Pacific Coast Classic on Saturday, Sept. 3. The tournament was hosted by Pomona-Pitzer at four courts in Claremont, including three on the Pomona-Pitzer campus.

The tournament was hosted by Pomona-Pitzer at four courts in Claremont, including three on the Pomona-Pitzer campus.
Both of WU's matches on Saturday were played at Ducey Gym on the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps campus.
The Bearcats defeated Lasell, 25-15, 25-13, 25-22, in Saturday's opener. In the second game, CMS outlasted the Bearcats in each set to take a 25-19, 25-15, 25-19 win.
Willamette is 1-3 on the season. The Bearcats will return to Salem, Ore., where they will host Northwest Christian University on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
