Willamette University Triathlon Earns National Scholar All-American Team and Individual Honors
SALEM, Ore. – The College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) has officially announced the Academic Scholar All-American Awards for the Fall 2025 season, recognizing Willamette University for excellence both in the classroom and in competition.
The Bearcats were named a Scholar All-America Team, a distinction reserved for programs that achieve a collective grade point average of 3.2 or higher. For the Fall 2025 semester, team GPAs were calculated using all student-athletes on the roster, excluding redshirts, and based on semester-specific performance.
In addition to the team honor, five Willamette student-athletes earned individual recognition for maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or better throughout the competitive fall semester.
Individual Scholar All-Americans (Division III)
To earn Scholar All-American status, these athletes finished in the top 21 of their division at the National Championship while maintaining the required academic standard.
Scholar All-American: Honorable Mention (Division III)
Honorable Mention is awarded to varsity athletes who competed in the National Championship and met the 3.5 GPA requirement, finishing outside of the top 21.
The CTCA awards program highlights the dedication of NCAA-sponsored varsity triathlon teams across all three divisions. Official certificates for these honors are scheduled to be mailed this month.
