Bearcats 4th at National Championship
Willamette finished 4th in NCAA DIII at the Collegiate Championship in Tempe.
TEMPE, Ariz. – The Willamette University Triathlon team concluded its season with a 4th-place team finish against the nation's best at the Collegiate National Championship in Tempe, Arizona, on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The Bearcats were 4th in Division III, just 11 points out of third.
Willamette saw four student-athletes finish in the top 21 among Division III competitors, earning All-American status. Sofie Szigeti led the way with a top-10 finish, placing 8th in the DIII standings with an overall time of 1:16:01.9.
She was joined by three teammates earning the coveted honor:

Natalie Thomas finished 13th in DIII with a time of 1:18:45.2.

Abbey Staniec placed 15th in DIII with a time of 1:19:45.2.

Kalima Glascott secured the fourth All-American honor, finishing 18th in DIII with a time of 1:21:22.0.
