Szigeti leads Bearcats at Prairie State Cup
DEWITT, Ill. — The Willamette University Triathlon team showcased a solid performance at the Prairie State Cup Triathlon at Clinton Lake State Recreation Area, finishing 9th with 335 points.
The Bearcats were led by sophomore Sofie Szigeti, who crossed the finish line as Willamette's top competitor. Szigeti secured 55th place overall in the elite field, completing the race with an impressive time of 1 hour, 17 minutes, and 4 seconds (1:17:04). Her effort earned the team a crucial 60 points.

Szigeti spearheaded a tight cluster of Willamette athletes who all finished strongly and contributed significantly to the team's score. The Bearcats saw all five of their primary scoring athletes finish within the top 75 overall:
