Bearcat Postseason Success
Osborne takes 5th in Hammer
NEWBERG, Ore. — A group of eight Bearcats have continued into the postseason to compete at the George Fox Final Qualifier. These Bearcats are a mix of track, jump, and throw events.
In Hammer Throw, Henri Osborne took fifth place with a throw of 39.28 meters, while in Shot Put she got sixth. In High Jump, Erica Snyder and Whitley Stepp earned third and fifth, respectively, with Snyder clearing 1.63 meters for third.
Ella Thompson competed in the 100m Hurdles, where she took fifth place. In the 100m, Lavender Bel earned second place in 12.52 seconds, while Anna Bikle achieved a new personal best in the 800m, 2:17.79 minutes. She took seventh place. The duo Mashani Coleman Toliver and Juniper Ammirati secured first and second place in the 400m Hurdles, Coleman with a time of 1:03.57 minutes. Finally, in the 200m Bel ran just shy of her personal best to get third place.
The next track & field competition are the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week, in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
