Enduring Effort for Bearcats
Snyder with 7th in High Jump
CORVALLIS, Ore. — A few select Bearcats have continued competing in the postseason this week at the Oregon State High Performance event, hosted by Oregon State University. Competition took place Friday and Saturday, where the Bearcats maintained their high-quality performances against many competitors.
On day one, Mashani Coleman Toliver and Juniper Ammirati ran in the 400m Hurdles. Coleman came in sixth overall, and Ammirati earned ninth place with a personal best of 1:05.24 minutes. There were no Bearcats in the long-distance races or throws, but in the jumping events, Whitley Stepp landed 5.12 meters from the board to take 15th in Long Jump.
Ella Thompson earned a season best in the 100m Hurdles on day two. She finished in 15.73 seconds to secure 12th place. In field events, Erica Snyder and Amanda McArthur both took seventh in their respective events: High Jump and Triple Jump. Snyder cleared 1.52 meters for her placement, while McArthur jumped 11.04 meters in her event.
The postseason continues with competition at Oregon Twilight, to be held in Eugene, Oregon at the University of Oregon on May 8th.
