Agarycheva is #9 in West Region Fall Singles Rankings
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University women's tennis player Natalia Agarycheva (Jr., Vancouver, WA/Prairie HS/Univ. of Northern Colorado) is ranked #9 in the West Region in the fall singles rankings for NCAA Division III released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Agarycheva and Willamette teammate Shannon Palmer (So., Salem, OR/Sprague HS) are ranked #6 in the West Region in doubles.

Agarycheva and Willamette teammate Shannon Palmer (So., Salem, OR/Sprague HS) are ranked #6 in the West Region in doubles.
Agarycheva reached the finals in singles at the Wilson/ITA Small College Northwest Regional in early October. She also combined with Palmer to advance to the finals in doubles.
The #1-ranked player in the West Region is Liz Lewis of Chapman University (Calif.). Abby Olbrich of Linfield College, who defeated Agarycheva in the finals of the Northwest Regional, is listed at #8 in the West Region rankings and is the highest ranked player from the Northwest Conference.
Olbrich and Sally Katter, who held off Agarycheva and Palmer in the Northwest Regional finals in doubles, are ranked #2 in the West Region. The top doubles team in the Region is formed by Paige Sumida and Rachael Miller at the University of Redlands (Calif.).
Willamette has completed its fall tennis schedule. The Bearcats will return to action on Feb. 6, when they will take on the University of Puget Sound at the Courthouse Tennis Club at 1379 Madison NE in Salem, Ore. Match time is set for 2 p.m. (PST).
Natalia Agarycheva, who reached the ITA Northwest Regional final this fall, is ranked #9 in the West Region in singles.
