TACOMA, Wash. — Willamette University's swimming team faced off against Pacific Lutheran University with notable performances, including Jillian Price's victory in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in at 2:01.17. The Bearcats also excelled in the 400-yard medley relay, with Leah Howell, Hanna Vornbrock, Tessa Ciatti, and Emma Noffsinger securing first place with a time of 4:23.69. Despite these impressive individual and team performances, Pacific Lutheran emerged victorious overall, winning the meet 128-112.
Willamette's women's swimming team showcased strong performances in their meet against Pacific Lutheran University, with multiple individuals achieving top finishes. Price excelled in individual events, clinching victory in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.17. Price also contributed to a first-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke, clocking in at 2:18.04, highlighting her versatility in various strokes.
Emma Noffsinger and Hanna Vornbrock were notable contributors, with Noffsinger finishing second in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:08.30 and Vornbrock taking second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:45.18. Ciatti added another first-place finish for the Bearcats in the 200-yard butterfly, timing in at 2:19.63. The 400-yard freestyle relay team, featuring Price, Kate Shower, Ana Kaldy, and Howell, secured a second-place finish with a time of 3:57.51, demonstrating the team's depth in relay events.

Ciatti claimed the 200-yard butterfly title with a time of 2:19.63 and contributed to the winning 400-yard medley relay team. Elisa Michels secured second place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 59.47 and finished second in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking 5:58.14. Noffsinger played a key role in the 400-yard medley relay victory and took second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:25.85.
