All-NWC Women’s Lacrosse Team Announced
Seven Bearcats named amongst the best in the conference.
SALEM, Ore. – Following a regular season defined by resilience and high-octane play, seven members of the Willamette University women's lacrosse team have been selected to the 2026 All-Northwest Conference (NWC) Team. The honors, voted on by the league's head coaches, include one First Team selection, four Second Team honors, and two Third Team recipients.
First Team
Defender
Moving up from a Second Team nod in 2025, Shoemaker solidified her status as one of the premier defenders in the conference. Playing 900 minutes, she tallied 21 caused turnovers, 27 ground balls, and netted eight goals — including a pivotal game-winner against Eastern Oregon on February 7.
Second Team
Attacker · Fr.
Led the Bearcats in goals (40), assists (27), and points in a spectacular debut season, highlighted by three game-winning goals and a season-high six-goal performance against Pacific Lutheran in early April.
Attacker
Played every minute of all 16 games, scoring 39 goals and leading the team with eight player-up goals, showcasing clinical finishing during man-advantage opportunities.
Defender
Repeats as an All-NWC Second Team selection after a dominant year on the backline. Led the Bearcats with 32 caused turnovers, including a career-best 11 in a single contest against Redlands on March 23.
Goalkeeper
The backbone of the Willamette defense, recording 113 saves across 739 minutes. Reached a season-high of 15 saves twice and added 30 ground balls and eight caused turnovers in transition.
Third Team
Midfielder
After earning Honorable Mention a year ago, Warfel moves onto the Third Team. Led the team in ground balls (36) and draw controls (77) while tallying 29 goals and 29 caused turnovers.

Made an immediate impact as a freshman with 24 goals and 37 draw controls, adding 33 ground balls and 23 caused turnovers on the defensive end.
