Shiflett and Bachiochi named IWLCA All-Region
Jay Shiflett and Lily Bachiochi received All-Region recognition from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for their performance during the 2025 season. Shiflett was named to the first team and Bachiochi earned second-team honors.
This is Shiflett's first year being recognized as All-Region. She was recently named the Northwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2025 and received first-team all-conference recognition for the second consecutive year. The sophomore led the Bearcats and the NWC in ground balls and caused turnovers. In only two seasons, she is already Willamette's all-time leader in turnovers caused and set the school record for caused turnovers in a game with nine against George Fox on April 12th.
This was the second consecutive year Bachiochi was named to the All-Region Second Team. The senior attacker was also recently named the Northwest Conference's Offensive Player of the Year for the second time and was a member of the All-NWC First Team for the fourth consecutive season. Bachiochi graduates as Willamette's all-time leader in goals, assists, and total points. She led the NWC in assists and points in 2025 and was fifth in goals. She set the school record for goals in a game with ten against Whitworth on April 18th and twice tied her record for points in a game with twelve.
The IWLCA has honored 256 student-athletes in Division III with a selection tobone of the All-Region teams for 2025. These student-athletes are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the 2024 IWLCA Division III All-American teams on May 23.
