Bachiochi Named NWC Women's Lacrosse Student-Athlete of the Week
Lily Bachiochi was named Northwest Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance in matches against Whitworth and Whitman.
Bachiochi registered 20 points over two games, scoring 15 goals and adding 5 assists. The senior attacker set a Willamette school record with 10 goals in a comeback win at Whitworth. The Bearcats fell behind early to the Pirates and were trailing 11-10 heading to the fourth quarter when Bachiochi assisted the first two goals of the quarter and scored four goals as Willamette rallied for a 17-12 win. She continued her strong play the next day at Whitman, scoring the opening goal and assisting on the next two as the Bearcats jumped out to an early lead. She ended the match with five goals and three assists as Willamette fell to Whitman 18-15.
This is the sixth time in her career that Bachiochi has received this honor and the first time this season.
