LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Willamette University senior forward Britanny Kochenderfer (Klamath Falls, OR/Henley HS/Idaho State Univ.) has been named to the All-Tournament Team at the 9th Annual D3hoops.com Classic, held at the South Point Hotel and Casino. The Bearcats went 2-0 in the tournament, defeating University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, 70-66, and downing Ohio Northern University, 43-41.
Kochenderfer scored 14 points, grabbed nine boards, earned six assists and blocked four shots in the win over UW-Stevens Point. Against the Polar Bears from Ohio Northern, Kochenderfer contributed 13 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Durting the tournament, Kochenderfer averaged 13.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.0 blocks and 0.5 steals. She recorded her seventh double-double of the season against Ohio Northern.
Kochenderfer is the Bearcats' top scorer, rebounder and shot blocker this season. She is averaging 13.5 points, 11.6 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game. She ranks second on the team with 0.8 assists per game. Kochenderfer leads the Northwest Conference with 128 rebounds.
The Bearcats are 5-6 overall and will return to action on Friday, Jan. 4 against archrival Linfield College. Game time for the NWC match-up at Cone Field House is set for 6 p.m. (PST).
