Begins his sophomore season as a Bearcat ... Ranked first on the Willamette team for his 4:43.69 500 Freestyle at the NWC Championship in 2016 ... Earned Second Team All-NWC honors in three events as a freshman while also setting a Willamette record by swimming the 200-yard butterfly in 1:53.86, which was fast enough to register an NCAA "B" qualifying time ... Finished 4th in the 500-yard freestyle, 5th in the 200 yard butterfly, and 6th in the 100-yard butterfly at the NWC Championships ... Participated in swimming for four years at Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, Calif. ... Helped his team win WCAL and CCS championships ...
