Five Bearcats Named to CSC Academic All-District® Softball Team

SALEM, Ore. — Five Willamette University softball student-athletes have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, the organization announced. The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom.
Emma Elliott, Desirae Hatfield, Maya Filger, Jenna Hopkins, and Lizzie Brasher earned the honor for Willamette, which competes in NCAA Division III.
The CSC Academic All-District® Team honorees advance for consideration to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 16, 2026.
The CSC program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. The Division III Academic All-America® program is partially funded by the NCAA Division III national governance structure to assist CSC with the award fulfillment aspects of the 2025-26 program.
