NEWBERG, Ore. — Willamette University (9-29, 6-20 NWC) faced tough competition against George Fox University (20-18, 14-12 NWC) in a doubleheader on Saturday, suffering two narrow defeats with final scores of 6–4 and 6–5.
In the first game, Willamette took an early lead, scoring twice in the first two innings. However, George Fox responded with a four-run second inning, putting the Bearcats on the defensive. Willamette managed to tie the game with two runs in the fourth, but George Fox secured the win with two additional runs in the sixth.
