Bio

Kate Ronning brings a wealth of local athletic and academic excellence to the team. A Keizer native and McNary High School alumna, Kate stayed close to home to attend Western Oregon University, where she was a standout member of the softball team from 2021 to 2025.

During her collegiate career, Kate earned First Team All-Conference honors in 2024 and Honorable Mention in 2025, while maintaining a consistent presence on the Academic All-District list throughout her four years. In addition to her success on the field, Kate has gained valuable coaching experience with the Northwest Bullets Campbell and by leading various youth and recruitment camps at WOU.

Kate holds a B.A. in Integrated English Studies and is currently balancing her coaching duties at Willamette University with her graduate studies. She is pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education at WOU, specializing in English.
