Men finish 10 at George Fox Oja Invite

INDEPENDENCE, Ore. — The Willamette University men's cross country team secured a 10th place finish out of 32 scoring teams at the Linfield George Oja Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. The Bearcats, competing on the 8-kilometer course at Willamette's NWAX rival, amassed 295 team points.

First-year Thomas Bernadicou led the charge for the Bearcats, finishing in 37th place overall with a time of 24:47.10. The performance was a personal record (PR) for Bernadicou.

Willamette saw a strong effort across the board, with four runners recording personal bests:

• Thomas Bernadicou (Fr.) — 37th place, 24:47.10 (PR)

• Treyton Marty (Fr.) — 66th place, 25:11.80 (PR)

• Adam Lewis (Jr.) — 87th place, 25:27.90 (PR)

• Austen Grabbe (Fr.) — 114th place, 25:50.80 (PR)

• Noah Lutz (Fr.) — 317th place, 28:41.00 (PR)

Senior Jay Chew was the second Bearcat across the line, placing 53rd with a time of 25:02.50.
