Bearcats Show Out Competition
McMahon 7th in 800m, with Bergevin pursuing
CORVALLIS, Ore. — At the Oregon State High Performance event, some Bearcats continued competing in the postseason. Hosted by Oregon State University, this meet took place May 1-2.
In the first day of track events, Myles Crandall and Matthew Nivala opened the competition with fourth and seventh place in the 400m Hurdles, Nivala earning a personal best of 55.63 seconds. In the 200m, Owen Phillips ran 22.90 seconds, coming in at 41st out of 66 competitors. Austin Snodgrass continued dominating his opponents in Discus, earning fifth place, while in Hammer Throw Roan Bashioum took 18th. In Long Jump, Kaleb McArthur and Owen Phillips both had successful marks, McArthur securing eighth with a jump of 6.90 meters and Phillips earning 13th.
Liam Bergevin and Tim McMahon ran in the Open 800m on the second day of competition. McMahon took seventh place, while Bergevin took 26th. A highlight of the day was Davandre Campbell achieving second place in the 110m Hurdles, with a time of 14.79 seconds. Snodgrass competed again in Shot Put, where he placed eighth overall.
The Bearcats compete next in Eugene, Oregon at Oregon Twilight on May 8th.
