Snodgrass places first in Discus
MCMINNVILLE, Ore. — The Bearcats competed at the Jenn Boyman Memorial, hosted by Linfield University, with many top-five placements.
In Discus, Austin Snodgrass won first with a distance of 49.87 meters, while Roan Bashioum took third in Hammer Throw. Steeley Mucken took tenth overall in Javelin, followed by Judah Ali'ifua in sixteenth. The top Bearcat performer in Shot Put was Grant Sweitzer, who placed fifteenth.
Gibson Hanowell took fifteenth as well in Triple Jump, through a jump of 12.05 meters, a season best (SB). Pole Vault saw Elijah Jones secure fourth place by successfully clearing 4.54 meters (SB). Niko White and Kaleb McArthur earned second and third in Long Jump, while Carson Naehr landed sixth in High Jump, clearing 1.87 meters as a personal best (PB).
The first track event for the Bearcats was the 3000m Steeple, where Adam Lewis took fifth by finishing in 9:36.25 minutes (PB). In the 4x100m Relay, the men earned a season best (42.46 seconds) and took second place. Tim McMahon represented the Bearcats in the 1500m, placing eighteenth overall, Sage Soto following behind in twentieth. In the 110m Hurdles, Davandre Campbell earned third place.
There were many runners in the 400m, Myles Crandall leading the team and finishing in 49.84 seconds (SB) and taking tenth overall. Mucken competed once again in the 100m, flying through the race and taking first in 10.86 seconds (SB). In the 400m Hurdles, Mason Williams earned second place, followed by Matthew Nivala in fifth. To close out the day, Crandall ran 22.464 seconds (PB) in the 200m, securing eleventh, while Major LeProwse took sixteenth with a personal best. Also in the 200m was Dustin Harzmann, who earned 27th overall with a season best.
The Bearcats compete next at John Night Twilight on April 10th, beginning at 12 pm and hosted by Western Oregon University.
