Bearcat duo triumphs in Heptathlon competition
Steeley Mucken obtains three personal records
SPOKANE, Wash. – The accomplished duo of Bearcats represented Willamette men's track and field with substantial performances across events in the Men's Heptathlon at the Whitworth Invitational.
The Bearcats shared the podium at second and third place with two personal records, Steeley Mucken with 7.14 seconds and Myles Crandall with 7.18 seconds in the Mens 60m. They also put on a strong performance in the Mens 1000m and Men's 60m Hurdles, with Crandall taking first and second in those events.
In jumps, the pair competed just as well. Mucken found third place in Men's High Jump at the 1.82 meter mark, while Crandall achieved a personal record at 1.79 meters to take fourth place. Mucken took first and second place in Men's Long Jump and Men's Pole Vault, respectively, with two additional personal records as well: 6.67 meters for long jump and 3.55 meters for pole vault. Crandall followed in seventh and ninth place.
In shot put, the Bearcats were again in the top five as Mucken placed first and Crandall fourth.
