Mucken Places 5th in Javelin at NCAA Championship, Named All-American
GENEVA, Ohio — Willamette University's Steeley Mucken delivered a stellar performance today at the 2025 NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships, launching the javelin 65.30 meters (214-3) to claim a fifth-place finish. This top-eight placement solidifies Mucken's status as an All-American, marking a significant achievement in his collegiate career.
Competing in challenging cold and rainy conditions at the Spire Institute, Mucken wasted no time asserting himself in the competition. His very first throw of the day, at 65.30m, was just shy of his personal best and Willamette school record of 65.50m (214-10.75).
Mucken's fifth-place finish culminates a successful season, underscoring his position as one of the top javelin throwers in NCAA Division III.
