SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — UC Santa Cruz defeated Willamette University 3-0 on Saturday at Lower East Field. UC Santa Cruz scored the opening goal in the first half and added two more in the second half, capitalizing on a total of eight shots on goal. The Bearcats managed three shots, with two on target, but could not find the back of the net. UC Santa Cruz's defense held strong, resulting in a shutout victory.
Mikkel Jensen had four saves in the match, facing 14 shots. Brenden Pineda contributed offensively with one shot and one shot on goal. Jackson Cosner also added to the offensive efforts with one shot and one shot on goal.
