Men's Golf 4th at the NWC Spring Classic
Alexander Papajohn tied for second at 144
LAKEWOOD, Wash. — The Willamette University Bearcats secured a fourth-place finish at the NWC Spring Classic on Tuesday. Junior Alexander Papajohn led the charge by tying for second individually with a score of 144 (+2). Papajohn's performance included an even-par 71 in the first round, followed by a 73 (+2) in the second round.
Freshman Michael Baldwin also delivered a strong showing, tying for ninth with a final score of 148 (+6). Baldwin rebounded from a tough opening round of 77 (+6) to finish the second round at even-par 71. Senior Brock Olson contributed to the team's standing by tying for 31st, carding a total of 154 (+12), with rounds of 78 (+7) and 76 (+5). Senior Oliver Smith rounded out the notable performances, tying for 34th with a score of 155 (+13), improving from an 80 (+9) in the first round to a 75 (+4) in the second.
