SALEM, Ore. — Willamette University secured a joint runner-up position at the Willamette Valley Cup with a team score of 568 (E) over two rounds at Creekside Golf Club. Jack Carr led the Bearcats with a tie for sixth place, shooting a 141 (-1) after a second-round 69 (-2).
Jack Carr led Willamette with a standout performance, tying for sixth place with a final score of 141 (-1). Carr shot a 72 (+1) in the first round and improved to a 69 (-2) in the second round. Brock Olson also contributed significantly to the Bearcats' efforts, tying for ninth place with a total score of 142 (E). Olson opened with a 70 (-1) and followed with a 72 (+1) in the subsequent round. Oliver Smith made a notable impact as well, tying for 13th place. Smith scored a 75 (+4) in the first round and bounced back with a 68 (-3) in the second, finishing at 143 (+1).
