Men's Golf shoots 301 to lead after day one of Tall Timbers Invitational

Eugene, Ore. - Men's Golf shot a team score of 301 at the Eugene Country Club to take the first-round lead at the Tall Timbers Invitational hosted by Bushnell University.  Brock Olson shot a 1-over par 73 and holds the overall lead in the individual competition.

Olson was joined by three other teammates in the top eight overall.  Oliver Smith is two shots back and in 3rd place after shooting a 75.  AJ Papajohn is tied for fourth and one shot behind Smith with a four-over par 76 and Lucas Paul carded a 77, which was good for a tie for eighth after day one.  Jack Carr, the final squad member in the team competition, shot an 82.

Three Bearcats competed as individuals at the event and did not contribute to the team score.  Benedikt Morsch finished at +9 after shooting an 81, while Connor Murphy shot an 85, and Kyler Phillips completed his round with a score of 91.

The second and final round of the Tall Timbers Invitational will be held at Emerald Valley Golf Club on Tuesday, October 29th.
