Overby named NABC All-District
Another award for the sophomore.
SALEM, Ore. – Adding to an already historic award season, Willamette University sophomore guard Tanner Overby (Portland, OR) has been named to the NABC 2026 Men's All-District 10 First Team.
This regional honor comes after Overby was named D3hoops.com 2026 Men's All-Region 10 First Team. Overby is one of only six players in the region to earn a First Team nod.
Players were nominated for these awards by the Sports Information Directors (SIDs) at schools across the region.
A Season for the Record Books
Overby's sophomore campaign was a masterclass in efficiency and high-volume scoring. Appearing in 23 games, he carried the offensive load for the Bearcats while maintaining a relentless presence on the defensive end.
2025-26 Statistical Breakdown:

Scoring: Led the team with 560 points, averaging 24.3 points per game.

Efficiency: Shot an impressive 52% (192-for-369) from the floor and 43.1% (25-for-58) from beyond the arc.

Free Throw Excellence: Proved to be one of the most reliable shooters in the country, hitting 151-of-174 (86.8%) from the charity stripe.

Defense: Led the team with 54 steals, including a season-high 6 steals at Warner Pacific.
Overby saved his best for the biggest moments, exploding for a career-high 39 points against Whitman on Jan. 30. He also displayed his versatile playmaking and rebounding abilities throughout the winter, logging a 12-rebound game against George Fox and two separate 8-assist performances.
