Woods Receives All-Conference Recognition on Defense

Willamette linebacker Orion Woods was named All-Northwest Conference Honorable Mention on defense for his performance during the 2024 season. The senior was second on the team in tackles this past season with 63 total (41 solo, 22 assists) for an average of 6.3 per game. He recorded two tackles for loss and three pass breakups on the year.
Woods' season-high in tackles came in his final competition for the Bearcats when he registered 13 tackles in the game versus Lewis & Clark College. In his first season with Willamette in 2023, Woods recorded 40 tackles, one sack, and three tackles for loss.
