Willamette Moves Up to #23 in D3Football.com Top 25
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University, 4-0 on the season, moved up to #23 in this week's D3Football.com Top 25. The Bearcats, who defeated the University of La Verne, 44-0, on Saturday (Sept. 27), entered the NCAA Division III Poll a week ago at the #25 spot. WU is one of 16 undefeated teams in this week's poll.

Mount Union College (Ohio), 3-0, remained #1 and received 21 of 25 first place votes. The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, also 3-0, received four first place votes and was ranked #2 overall. Ranked #3 was the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas), 3-0.
One of WU's opponents gained a spot in the Top 25 this week, as Concordia College-Moorhead (Minn.) took over the #25 position. The Bearcats defeated Concordia-Moorhead, 35-21, at McCulloch Stadium in the season-opener on Sept. 6.
Willamette will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4, with their Northwest Conference opener against defending NWC champion Whitworth University. Kickoff in Spokane, Wash., is set for 1 p.m. (PDT).
