SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette University basketball teams will play a doubleheader of charity exhibition games on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at Cone Field House to help raise funds for widlfire relief in the State of Oregon. All proceeds from ticket sales and donations will go to the American Red Cross Oregon Wildfire Fund. Joining the Bearcats in this effort will be Tuesday's opponents, the women's basketball team from Western Oregon University and the men's basketball team from Concordia University (Ore.).
Tickets will be $5 per person with a maximum of $20 per family, paid with cash or check. Donations beyond the cost of admission will be accepted. Students from the three participating universities will be admitted at no charge by showing their ID cards, but are encouraged to make a donation.
Willamette and Western Oregon will begin the evening with the women's game at 6 p.m. (PDT). The men's game will follow at about 8 p.m. between Willamette and Concordia. In addition to support wildfire relief the doubleheader will be a great time to see the Bearcats in action before the regular season begins later in the month.
